Automobile Engineering is a branch of engineering which deals with designing, manufacturing, operating automobiles, vehicle engineering, incorporating elements of mechanical, electrical, electronic, software and safety engineering as applied to the design, manufacture and operation of motorcycles, automobiles, buses and trucks and their respective engineering subsystems.

The Department of Automobile Engineering was established in 2012 at Ipcowala college of Engineering and Technology, which offers four years’ degree program for under graduate students and three years’ diploma program for 10th/12th pass students. To update with the recent trends and developments in the field of Automobile, the department takes up the initiative to conduct various Seminars, Conferences and Workshops, with eminent speakers from reputed academia and industry.

The department is well equipped with highly qualified and experienced faculty and supporting staff. It is enriched with fully equipped Automobile Lab for Automobile service and maintenance requirements with Automotive Engine Lab, Automotive Transmission Lab, Automotive Machine Lab, Automotive Electrical Lab, Vehicle Testing Lab, Computer Aided Design Lab, etc.

The students are also provided value added courses in each semester to bridge the gap between academics and industry thereby making them capable of doing projects in core domains. We have placed 100% studentsin the last four years in various reputed companies. We have achieved 1st rank in GTU 8th semester examinationthree times i.e. 2016,2018 & 2019.

Automobile engineering department provides a platform for the young aspirants to participate and organize various technical events like EGVC (Organised by SAE), UDAN, AWISHKAR, etc.
